Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA) - Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Abdul Kadir Karding, has said that the government is preparing a public service agency (BLU) to conduct training for prospective overseas job workers (PMI).“There will definitely be a future program that can facilitate training for prospective migrant workers or students before they work abroad. However, we must first find and prepare a financing scheme,” he informed in Bandarlampung, Lampung, on Wednesday.
“We are currently establishing a public migrant service agency, and the government is trying to facilitate this training by utilizing the People’s Business Credit (KUR) program to finance it,” he added.
He informed that the training will be financed using unsecured people’s business credit, with an interest rate of six percent and a maximum limit of Rp100 million.
