Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chief of the TNI Information Center (Kapuspen), Major General (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah stated that preparations for the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in Monas, Central Jakarta, have reached 80 percent."Preparations have currently reached around 80 percent. The rehearsal at Monas and other supporting activities are running smoothly," Freddy said when contacted by Antara in Jakarta on Friday.

Freddy explained that during preparations for the main event, there were some challenges, one of which was rainy weather that disrupted the rehearsal sessions.

"But these issues have been managed, thanks to the readiness of our personnel and the support of various parties," said Freddy.

He assured that all personnel involved in the ceremony, including those in the military parade of major defense equipment (alutsista), flight demonstration, parachute performances, and land and air combat simulations, are ready to deliver their best performance on October 5, 2025.

The series of TNI Anniversary celebrations began in August 2025 with sports competitions held simultaneously across Indonesia.

"Then the TNI exhibition was held on September 21- 22, which included health service, food distribution, defense equipment exhibitions, and MSME titles," Freddy said.

The activities continued with weekend camp programs for students at several schools, the Navy’s Sailing Pass, and commemorative pilgrimages - all leading up to the main celebration on October 5, 2025.
