IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, informed that the Indonesian Air Force will hold a flypast during the ceremony marking Indonesia's Independence Day at national capital (IKN) Nusantara."After the military ceremony, a flypast attraction would be displayed. Followed by entertainment by the TNI-Polri (Indonesian Defense Forces/National Police)," Hartono said at the IKN State Palace on Tuesday.

Based on ANTARA's observations in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) on Tuesday, several aircraft belonging to the Air Force could be seen practicing maneuvers ahead of the Independence Day celebration on August 17, 2024.

Several aircraft could be seen flying back and forth over the IKN area, over the Garuda Palace, the IKN State Palace, and the coordinating ministry buildings.

Four F-16 fighter jets flew past in a formation and fired blank bullets as part of the practice for the Independence Day ceremony. A similar practice was also seen on Sunday.

Preparations for Indonesia's 79th Independence Day ceremony on August 17 continue to be carried out at IKN. As of August 10, the mobilization of heavy equipment transport vehicles has been stopped.

Some beautification has also been seen at IKN ahead of the ceremony. Flags and red and white pennants have begun to be set up at the State Palace.
