Nusantara Capital City (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) launched the Kusuma Bangsa Park in IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan, on Monday to serve as a place to reflect on the struggles of national heroes.
In his opening remarks, the president noted that the launch of the park is a way of honoring the heroes.
"To honor the heroes, the fighters of the nation, especially nation founders Bung Karno and Bung Hatta, we launched the Kusuma Bangsa Park," he remarked.

The launch was marked by the wailing of sirens and the signing of the inscription by the president. The Kusuma Bangsa Park will serve as a memorial park where the national reflection and honorary routine ceremony will be held during the celebrations marking the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.
The park is both a monumental site and a public space to remember the independence heroes' struggles.
