Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR) will establish a specialized organ to receive and manage public inputs for the parliament, according to Deputy Speaker Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal.

The new organ will be authorized to take all inputs and suggestions regarding public policies and manage public demonstrations at the Parliament Complex, he said.

"When victims of land mafia, online gambling, and online loans, as well as those affected by injustice need to make their grievances heard, they can convey it through the new organ," he said in a written statement received here Wednesday.

The new organ will relay the public inputs and grievances to the relevant commissions in the parliament, based on their sphere of responsibility. They will organize meetings with government ministries and agencies to discuss the issues and seek solutions, he said.

"The house of the people must facilitate the meeting between the people and leading sectors in the Republic," Syamsurijal stressed.

The deputy speaker informed that the new organ will optimize the parliament's work in receiving inputs from the public through existing channels and ensure a more organized handling and feeding of public inputs to the appropriate parliamentary organs.
