Prabowo, Jokowi share dinner at Javanese restaurant in Solo

Solo (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto and former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had dinner together in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday evening.

The two leaders dined at Angkringan Omah Semar, a restaurant known for its variety of traditional Javanese dishes. They were seen talking while enjoying their meal. After the meeting, which lasted about an hour, Prabowo spoke briefly with reporters covering the event.

"I had Javanese fried rice; it was delicious," he said.

However, he appeared reluctant to share more details about his conversation with Jokowi.

"It was about this and that," Prabowo said, without providing further context.

Meanwhile, Jokowi only smiled at reporters without making any comments. Before dinner, Prabowo had visited Jokowi at his residence in Solo following a series of official engagements in South Papua and Bali.

This was the first time the two had met since Prabowo was officially inaugurated as the 8th President of Indonesia on October 20. On the day of the presidential inauguration, Jokowi returned to his hometown of Solo, where he is enjoying his retirement.
