Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA) - The Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry stated that students' talent development should not only focus on the academic aspect but also on the soft skills aspect deemed essential in facing Golden Indonesia 2045.
In a workshop on student talent development strategies towards Golden Indonesia 2045 held at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) here on Saturday, the ministry's expert staff, Tatang Muttaqin, underlined several factors that shape education.
According to Muttaqin, one of the factors is the future skills and jobs that are influenced by technological development and automation.
"We have to be able to develop the most effective and efficient way to train human resources to face that challenge," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, he drew attention to the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom in Learning) priority program and its relation to improving education quality in Indonesia.
