Magetan, East Java (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) reminded managers of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) to comply with operational standards that must be met in implementing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in the regions.BGN Deputy Head for Public Communication and Investigation Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, said here on Monday that there are a number of requirements that SPPGs must comply with to avoid having their operations suspended.

"A suspension is imposed on an SPPG if there is an extraordinary event (KLB), commonly known as food poisoning incidents, as well as in non-KLB cases," she said.

For non-KLB cases, she explained, an SPPG may face suspension if it does not have a wastewater treatment installation, lacks a Hygiene and Sanitation Eligibility Certificate (SLHS), and has a kitchen workflow that does not comply with technical guidelines.

Moreover, SPPGs must also have at least 15 partner suppliers and serve beneficiaries from the 3B category (pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers), otherwise they will face suspension.

"If an SPPG has fewer than 15 partners, we are ready to impose a temporary suspension. The SPPG management must meet those standards," she said.

She stressed that the 15 suppliers must also be sourced from areas surrounding the SPPG so that the local economy around the kitchen can benefit.

"One of the government's goals in the MBG program is to boost the people's economy. The 15 partner suppliers must also come from around the SPPG so that local communities can benefit economically," Deyang said.

In response, the Magetan Food Task Force stated that it is ready to encourage SPPG managers to make improvements and meet operational standards so that the MBG implementation in Magetan can be optimized.
