Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, has said that he expects the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (SIMIRAH) to become a super app assisting in resolving cooking oil management issues.

At a press conference on the business matching program for CPO (crude palm oil) producers and bulk cooking oil entrepreneurs in Bali province on Friday, he informed that currently, the government is integrating the Industry Ministry’s system with data from other ministries/institutions.

"The attempt aims to ensure that the upstream to downstream (cooking oil management) process can run well according to the target. The President (Joko Widodo) has asked us (government officials) to pay attention to the (cooking oil) supply in the domestic market," he said.

In addition, he said he expected that cooking oil distribution through the SIMIRAH program will run normally and the price of bulk cooking oil will continue to decline to a level of Rp14 thousand (US$0.96) per liter "Currently, the cooking oil price has continued to fall in a number of regions," he noted.
