Jakarta (ANTARA) - Communities working with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) continue to focus on recovery efforts in areas affected by floods and landslides in Aceh Province, focusing on clearing roads, drainage systems, and public facilities to restore daily activity.
According to a statement from the Presidential Media Team in Jakarta on Sunday, the effort is aimed at restoring the function of public infrastructure that was covered by mud and flood debris, so that social and economic activities can resume.
In Kubu Village, Peusangan Siblah Krueng District, Bireuen Regency, the TNI deployed excavators to remove thick mud blocking roads in Kubu Village, while in Pidie Jaya District army engineers used heavy equipment to clear dried mud from the main road in Dayah Kruet Village.
Clean-up operations also targeted landslide-affected areas in Gayo Lues Regency, as well as in Berawang Salam Hamlet, Pining District, which had previously been blocked by landslide material.
