While not quite responding to Prabowo's request for a meeting, Trump said that the US just had "a great election" on November 5, 2024.

"(It was) amazing what happened. We had tremendous success, the most successful (election) over a hundred years, they say. And it is a great honor. So it gives me a very big mandate, yes and do things properly," he added.

During the call, Trump also expressed his wish to visit Indonesia. He praised Prabowo's leadership of Indonesia as "incredible."

"Well, you, whenever you are around, please let me know. I would like to also get to your country sometime. The job that you are doing is incredible. You are such a respected person. I give you credit for that. That is not easy," he said.
