Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s Communications and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) Ministry is supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Sekolah Rakyat (People’s School) program by improving internet access and public outreach through digital platforms.Deputy Minister Angga Raka Prabowo said Sekolah Rakyat integrates multiple poverty-alleviation efforts into one model
“The program empowers parents, renovates homes, establishes village co-ops, and ensures access to education and healthcare,” he said in a statement here on Thursday.
To support the program, the ministry aims to accelerate network infrastructure in remote and underserved areas.
“We’ll request location data for Sekolah Rakyat to identify areas lacking internet. The ministry is ready to ensure full connectivity,” he added.
The ministry will also strengthen public communication using digital platforms to highlight the program’s impact.

“In Bogor, I saw a garbage collector’s child receiving an education through Sekolah Rakyat. These stories must be shared to show how the President’s programs benefit those in need,” he said.
The ministry's Secretary General Ismail outlined five key initiatives: internet access, public outreach, digital platform integration, teacher training, and national data center support.
He said the digital ecosystem — including startups and platforms — can help, with the ministry’s national data center ready to manage program data.

Ismail added that digitalization will improve access to education for the underprivileged and help promote digital inclusion as part of poverty reduction.
The Social Affairs Ministry said Sekolah Rakyat is built on three principles: improving welfare, expanding access, and making the impossible possible.
