Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) member Lolly Suhenty stated that the agency is committed to overseeing the vote recapitulation process that is carried out step-by-step.

"(We will monitor) the recapitulation in all stages until it is completed on March 20. Yes, this is the responsibility and authority given to Bawaslu," Suhenty stated when contacted by ANTARA here on Friday (February 16) evening.

According to the Bawaslu member, the vote recapitulation process is currently running at the sub-district level. Suhenty explained that Bawaslu has the duty to supervise all stages of the election, including the recapitulation stage. Hence, Suhenty said her side has prepared the best strategies for monitoring the election.

"We have prepared the best strategies. In addition to conducting close supervision, we also collect and document, so that if there is a dispute regarding the results, we have an accurate database," she remarked. Earlier, Bawaslu had reported that ethical infractions and neutrality violations by State Civil Apparatus (ASN) dominated the 1,200 cases of violations recorded during the 2024 elections.

"Ethical violations committed by organizers have been widely reported and discovered as well as the (violations of the) neutrality of ASN in various regions in Indonesia, caused by several factors, including their own initiative or even conditioned violations," Suhenty stated on Wednesday (February 14).
