Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - The Bali provincial government installed traditional penjor, or decorated bamboo poles, on the routes that will be passed by the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) delegates to the event location in Nusa Dua, Bali.

Bali secretary Dewa Made Indra said here on Tuesday expressed the province's readiness to support the 10th WWF event that will be held on May 18-25, 2024, starting from the arrival of delegates at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

"The provincial government will prepare for the arrival of VVIPs and VIPs by welcoming them by dancing," he said.

The provincial government has also installed penjors at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport and its surroundings.

"We have installed penjors on the routes that will be passed, so that our unique hospitality and culture can be seen," he added.

In addition, he said, Bali will carry out its unique activity in the 10th WWF, namely the Bali Nice that will be held at Bali Turtle Beach, Denpasar City.

"This event is the celebration of Rahina Tumpek Uye and the Segara Kerthi ceremony. In there, we will show how Balinese culture preserves and glorifies water," Indra remarked.
