Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Maman Abdurrahman, has said that an MSME holding will be created to connect MSME players with large industries.
"We hope that this holding will empower, get supplies, spare parts, and everything they need from our MSMEs. This is what we want to build, the connectivity between MSMEs and large industries," he said after opening the 2024 Entrepreneur Finance Fiesta in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He gave the example of connectivity between MSMEs and large industries in the automotive sector, which requires component supplies.
"In the automotive industry, the relationship between large industries and MSMEs has already become a unified ecosystem that supports each other," he said.

He further expressed the belief that the formation of the holding will open up opportunities for MSMEs to develop further.
The Ministry of MSMEs will provide support in the form of production training, access to financing, business planning, as well as supply chains and investors, among others, to ensure that within the holding ecosystem, they become a unit that is no longer separate from each other.

He said he hopes that through the holding, the ministry will be able to support other industrial sectors, such as agriculture, food and beverages, and souvenirs, so that MSMEs operating in various sectors can develop and advance their class.
"By encouraging this MSME holding, the business potential is enormous because later, our entrepreneurs, together with other deputy ministries, will consolidate approximately two thousand to three thousand MSMEs," he informed.
