"We sent 41 companies in the ILMATE sector to showcase and promote their products and services at Hannover Messe. They can also open new cooperation and investment opportunities, especially in the fields of downstream industry, accelerating (the production of) electric vehicles, and developing New and Renewable Energy (EBT)," the ministry's Director General of ILMATE, Taufiek Bawazier, stated in Hannover, Germany, Tuesday, local time.
He remarked that of the 41 companies, eight companies presented the theme of "Making Indonesia 4.0," while the rest were co-exhibitors with sub-themes, such as Sustainability and Energy Transition by five companies, Engineered Parts and Solutions presented by 19 companies, Digital Ecosystems by seven companies, and Drive Technology and Automation by two companies.
Bawazier explained that "Making Indonesia 4.0" is the main theme presented at the 2023 Hannover Messe, as the industrial sector in Indonesia is conducting economic transformation that will boost productivity through the downstream industry and a greener economy.
“For example, PT Astra Otoparts, PT. Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia, and PT Yogya Presisi Teknikatama Industri (YPTI) are representatives of the Making Indonesia 4.0 development process," he remarked.
At the 2023 Hannover Messe, he remarked that PT Astra Otoparts presents competitive products in the Automation System, Manufacturing Execution System, and several other digital products that demonstrate the capability of the manufacturing process that is currently transforming towards Industry 4.0.
At the exhibition, the company also showcased futuristic products that had just been launched or were currently in the process of research and development, including Astra Otopower, CNC Powerlathe, and several medical devices, he revealed.
Furthermore, Bawazier explained that PT Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia presented several use cases for the implementation of Making Indonesia 4.0, such as the AI-Final Inspection Machine, which is an application that displays production results in real-time. AI-Final Inspection Machine is an artificial intelligence collaborative robot machine that analyzes product quality more accurately. This machine is also connected with smart maintenance, smart check sheet, and energy saving.
Moreover, the company presents its Brake Failures Simulator and drones that utilize virtual reality (VR) technology, he remarked.
Meanwhile, PT Yogya Presisi Teknikatama Industri (YPTI) is developing technology in the field of Metal Additive Manufacturing, including the Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) process and the Laser Metal Fusion (LMF) process, Bawazier revealed.
According to Bawazier, this technology will become a trend in the future to support the precise manufacture of mechanical components for the automotive, aircraft, mold & die, machine, and medical device manufacturing industries to become more productive and competitive.
