Wamena (ANTARA) - The provincial government of Highland Papua has affirmed its commitment to fully supporting the implementation of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto’s eight core missions, collectively known as the Asta Cita.Highland Papua Deputy Governor Ones Pahabol stated that his administration will make all-out efforts to ensure the optimal implementation of the president’s initiatives across the province over the next five years.
“We believe the president’s eight-point vision embodies many values and should be carried out by all regional leaders, both at the provincial and district levels,” he remarked in Wamena, Jayawijaya District, on Saturday.
Pahabol pointed out that Asta Cita encapsulates strategic initiatives aimed at upholding the national ideology of Pancasila, democracy, and human rights; strengthening national defense and security; and bolstering national independence through self-reliance in food and energy.
He further explained that the Asta Cita missions reflect the nation’s determination to pursue quality job creation, entrepreneurial growth, creative industry development, infrastructure construction, human resource enhancement, science and technology mastery, education and health care improvements, sporting excellence, gender equality, youth empowerment, and a disability-friendly society.

Through the missions, he continued, President Prabowo also seeks to boost the value of natural resources through industrialization and downstreaming, build the nation from villages to curb economic disparities, realize good governance, strengthen corruption and drug prevention, preserve culture and nature, and promote interfaith harmony.
The deputy governor highlighted that his administration is prioritizing programs in education, health, infrastructure, and the local economy.

“Our goal is to nurture highquality young Highland Papuans with skills across various fields to help advance the region in the future,” he added.
He further emphasized the importance of all eight districts fully capitalizing on local land and forestry resources to drive development.
“We envision residents making the most of the province’s vast land for agriculture, plantations, and freshwater aquaculture to achieve economic growth,” Pahabol said.
To that end, he pledged full government support for those working to harness Highland Papua’s potential.
