Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's humanitarian aid for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip will be distributed through the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).
JHCO is a charity organization appointed by the Jordanian government to distribute aid from various countries, including Indonesia, to the Gaza Strip.
According to a statement released by the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the aid will be distributed in the next few days based on the needs of the victims of the Israeli aggression in Gaza.
The aid was handed over by the deputy for emergency response at BNPB, Lukmansyah, to secretary general of the JHCO, Husein Al Shebli, shortly after the cargo plane carrying the aid from Indonesia arrived at Queen Alia-Jordan Airport, Amman, on Sunday (October 20, 2024) local time.

The humanitarian aid is the 14th shipment from Indonesia in the last two years to friendly countries in need.
A few days ago, Indonesia sent aid to conflict-hit countries such as Sudan and Jordan, as well as Vietnam, which was hit by a tropical storm.
The provision of humanitarian aid is expected to ease the burden on the people in the destination countries and further strengthen Indonesia's relations with other regions, especially the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
