Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar has requested Saudi Arabian Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq F. Al Rabiah to build a hadith museum at Istiqlal Mosque, just like the one in Medina."Minister (Al Rabiah) asked if there is space to build it. I said, 'Of course, there is,'" Umar said in a statement released on Tuesda.

Umar met with Al Rabiah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to discuss the preparations for next year's Hajj pilgrimage.

According to Umar, the two ministers share similar views on the need to raise the dignity of Muslims, not only in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, but also the Islamic world.

"In the near future, God willing, he will make more approaches, possibly for us to open a hadith museum in Istiqlal," he informed.
