Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi, reaffirmed Riyadh’s commitment to strengthening ties with Indonesia across various sectors during the celebration of Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day here on Tuesday (September 23).

“Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in all areas. These efforts by the two friendly countries will continue, insya Allah,” Ambassador Faisal said in his remarks.

He noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1968, ties between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia have continued to develop and expand.

As the guardian of Islam’s Two Holy Cities, Saudi Arabia shares a unique bond with Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation.

Both countries are also active members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the G20, and enjoy a close relationship between their peoples.

To seize opportunities presented by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045, the two nations have signed economic agreements worth US$27 billion.
