Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry discussed opportunities for cooperation with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) on the capacity-building program for tourism human resources and the Tourism Destination Resilience Training Program at a recent meeting.
The meeting with PATA was a part of the collaboration framework to develop the tourism sector in Indonesia, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo informed here on Saturday.
On the same occasion, CEO of PATA Liz Ortiguera said she hopes Indonesia can participate in the PATA Annual Summit on October 25–27, 2022, in the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, in a separate meeting, Secretary of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani met with UNWTO Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili to express her gratitude for the organization's support for Indonesia at the G20 forum.

Furthermore, Adnyani also held a meeting with UNWTO's Director of the Regional Department for Asia and the Pacific Harry Hwang to discuss Indonesia's preparations for proposing its name for the UNWTO executive council representing East Asia and the Pacific region for the 2023–2027 period.
