Lombok Barat (ANTARANews NTB) - Cruise ship MV AIDA carrying 1,062 tourist from various countries and 367 crew members made a call at the Lembar port of Lombok Barat on Tuesday.
"The luxurious tourist boat was the first star-rated vessel visiting Lombok in 2018," General Manager of Lembar branch of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III Baharuddin said here.
Baharuddin said the tourist boat arrived at the port of Lembar at 09.00 local time after visiting the Benoa port of Bali and the Komodo island, one of the world`s wonders, for its world`s largest ancient lizard, known locally as komodo.
The passengers, dominated by advanced age people, spent some time in Lombok sightseeing in a number of tourist objects on the island such as the Senggigi beach, the Narmada park, and handicraft center arranged by a number of travel agents.
From Lombok the cruise ship was to proceed to other areas in the country later the day, Baharuddin said.
MV Aida Cruise is one of tourist boats of the "AIDA Cruise", which is based in Germany. (*)
