Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Head Basuki Hadimuljono said he will focus on developing legislative and judiciary complexes and their supporting facilities in the new capital for the next four years.
Following his induction as OIKN head at the Presidential Palace complex here on Tuesday, Hadimuljono stated that the legislative and judiciary seats will be part of Nusantara City's Central Government Core Area (KIPP).
"The (next development phase of the) KIPP ecosystem will be for the judiciary and legislative complexes. The judiciary, executive, and legislative seats, as well as housing for its employees, should be ready by 2028," he explained.

He remarked that housing, offices, and other basic infrastructure will be prepared for the judiciary and legislative complexes in Nusantara City.
Meanwhile, Hadimuljono said that his other focus on the development of Nusantara City will be to complete the construction of infrastructure that started under former President Joko Widodo.
He added that the capital authority will also double down its efforts to attract investments into the new capital for the next four years.

"Until the last groundbreaking before October 20, we received Rp86 trillion (USD5.44 billion) from the state budget and Rp58 trillion (USD3.67 billion) from investments," Hadimuljono noted in connection with budgets for the new capital development.
The agency head plans to resume working in Nusantara City by November 7 to welcome the members of Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR) on a working visit.
Basuki Hadimuljono was inaugurated as OIKN head by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Hadimuljono, a former public works and public housing minister, had served as acting head of OIKN since June 2024 following the simultaneous resignations of his predecessor, Bambang Susantono, and his deputy Dhony Rahajoe.
