Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has asked airport authorities to increase coordination with regional governments to ensure kite-flying activities do not disrupt flights.During a discussion with the media here on Wednesday, he emphasized the importance of providing education on aviation safety to neighborhood communities since kite-flying can potentially put flight safety at risk.
Ermation dissemination is on, even in small areas where people are actively flying kites and hot air balloons, especially around the holiday season.
“We have visited places that are specifically often used by people to fly kites,” he added.
The minister revealed that flights in Jakarta and Bali often get disrupted by kite flying, especially during the holiday season, when children play in open spaces.
