Jakarta (ANTARA) - Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya visited GOBELINS, a leading animation and design school in Paris, France, earlier this week to strengthen cooperation in the development of Indonesia’s creative human resources (SDM).The visit was a follow-up to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with France’s Ministry of Culture in May 2025, which covers talent exchange and industry-based curriculum development.
“Partnership with GOBELINS is crucial for the development of Indonesia’s creative SDM. They have proven their ability to make world-class, work-ready talent, with the percentage of graduates approaching 100 percent,” he said in a press statement received in Jakarta on Friday.
Innovations in teaching and technology at GOBELINS have ensured that the school’s alumni remain relevant in the industry’s ever-evolving landscape.
The minister emphasized the importance of continuing training programs to help creative professionals remain adaptive and competitive amid global industry developments.

During the visit, the Creative Economy Ministry proposed some collaborative schemes for developing SDM capacity, such as Creative Talent Exchange, Masterclass & Joint Workshop Series, Digital Curriculum Co-Development, and Creative Educator Residency.
Through the collaboration, it is hoped that GOBELINS will identify training and education programs that are aligned with the needs of Indonesia’s creative SDM, both in implementation and relevance to industry dynamics.

It would also be important to adopt the practice of directly involving industry players in the education process, as done by GOBELINS.
“We want to make sure that Indonesia’s creative SDM have global competencies and are ready to face industry challenges, at the local and international level,” he said.
