Jakarta (ANTARA) - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin discussed mobile health services with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in Jakarta on Monday.
"The Ministry of Health is working with community organizations providing boat-based health services in remote areas. They requested the governor's support," Sadikin said. The support includes costs for ship mooring and parking slots in the Seribu Islands district, off the coast of Jakarta. The boats carry volunteers performing minor surgeries such as tumor removals, appendectomies, cesarean sections, and hernia operations.
"They asked if the mooring and parking provisions could be formalized with government support," he added.
