Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto officially appointed Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman as Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) replacing Arief Prasetyo Adi. When contacted by ANTARA here on Friday evening, Bapanas Chief Secretary Sarwo Edhy confirmed this. Edhy said the appointment had been determined through a Presidential Decree (SK) dated October 9, 2025.
"The decree was just received this afternoon. There has been a change according to the decree dated October 9, 2025, or yesterday," said Edhy.
However, Edhy said that the official document was only received by the Head of Bapanas on Friday afternoon in Jakarta.

"The decree was just received this afternoon," he continued.
Earlier that day, the Head of Bapanas Arief Prasetyo Adi still came to the office in the morning, before receiving official information regarding the decision to replace him in the afternoon.

"Yes, he came to the office for a moment. Since this morning. He (Adi) only found out (about the decree) in the afternoon," said Edhy.
Meanwhile, Adi, who was contacted by ANTARA, has not yet responded regarding the change in Bapanas leadership.
