Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - The body of Brazilian national Juliana Marins, 27, will be repatriated after midnight on Monday, head of public relations, Bali Police, Senior Commissioner Aryasandi, said.Marins fell while climbing Mount Rinjani in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on June 21, 2025.
In a statement released on Monday, Aryasandi informed that Marins’ body will be flown from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali, via Dubai, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
“The repatriation of Juliana Marins’ coffin has been approved for all routes by Emirates (airline),” the police said.
The flight is scheduled to depart at 12:35 a.m. local time. It will arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 3:50 p.m. local time on July 2.
Aryasandi said that the body of the Brazilian citizen was transported in an ambulance belonging to PT Antar Bangsa, the transportation company handling the repatriation, and escorted by the Bali Police.
Meanwhile, the head of medical support at Bali Mandara Hospital, Elin Nainggolan, said that the hospital handed over Marins’ body to the consulate and PT Antar Bangsa.
No family member was present at the handover, which was witnessed by consulate officials.

“We handed her over at 12 a.m. local time to be taken to the airport,” Nainggolan informed.
On June 24, a joint search and rescue (SAR) team found Marins, who was reported to have fallen while trekking on Mount Rinjani.

Her body was found at a depth of about 600 meters from the climbing path to the peak of Mount Rinjani.
The joint SAR team managed to locate her using a thermal drone. She appeared unresponsive based on drone surveillance.
The challenging terrain and weather conditions at the mountain posed obstacles in her rescue.
