Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA) - Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas revealed that only six thousand state civil apparatus (ASN) will move to the Nusantara Capital first, as the facilities there are not yet adequate.

"The total (ASN) who will move is 11,916, but the buildings there are not enough yet, so six thousand first will move," Anas stated during the 2024-2025 Trade Ministry Working Meeting here on Tuesday.

The minister elaborated that currently, only 47 apartment towers were ready in Nusantara, and one tower had 60 units. ASNs, Indonesian Military members, Police members, and echelon-1 officials as well as other officials will reside in these towers.

Apart from the factor of the flat tower readiness, the moving of ASNs, earlier set for July, had to be postponed until after August 2024. Anas revealed that the moving of ASN was delayed in keeping with the directive of State Secretariat Minister Pratikno.

The delay had occurred since some large section of the area will be used for the Indonesian Independence ceremony on August 17. "We were going to move them in July, but the state secretariat minister said the place will be used for the ceremony, so we will transfer them after August," he explained.

Anas said the transfer of civil servants to Nusantara will be based on three priorities. The first priority is 179 echelon I officials from 38 ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Trade. Meanwhile, the second priority is 91 echelon I officials from 29 ministries and agencies, while the third priority is as many as 378 echelon I officials from 59 ministries and agencies.

"We have prepared (to house) married couples (in one place), (and for others,) while waiting for the towers to be completed, they can share," he stated.
