Prabowo's UN speech marks first Indonesian address in 10 years: Puan

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani said President Prabowo Subianto's upcoming speech at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) will be a highly anticipated event, marking a decade-long gap since the last Indonesian president attended the forum.She said on Monday that Prabowo's speech will be a proud moment for all Indonesians.

​​​"We hope President Prabowo's speech will also create a fresh and proud atmosphere," she added.

Maharani noted that the President will address a range of issues, including the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver his speech during the General Debate session at the 80th UNGA in New York on Tuesday, according to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Wijaya confirmed that Prabowo will deliver the third speech of the session, following Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and US President Donald Trump.
