Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is working to get 300,000 schools online by the end of 2025, a key part of its plan to digitalize education.
This effort follows a government mandate to improve human resources through digital learning."The goal is for 300,000 schools to have internet access this year. If we find any areas without service, we will solve the problem," the ministry's Director General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education, Gogot Suharwoto, stated here on Wednesday.
He explained that true digital learning involves more than just an internet connection. It requires fully digitalized classrooms equipped with internet devices, interactive whiteboards, and computers.

The plan also includes providing learning content and training teachers.
To help with this, the ministry has teamed up with several private companies to train teachers in digital skills, including coding and AI.
So far, 3,500 pieces of digital education content are ready to be sent to the schools that will benefit from the program.
