Sumedang, West Java (ANTARA) - Deputy Home Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto stated that the second batch of the regional heads' retreat at the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) includes the subject of territorial boundaries and potential regional conflicts.

He affirmed that the subject would be delivered during a session by the ministry's Director General of Regional Administration Development, Safrizal Zakaria Ali.

“Mr Ali will present material on village boundaries, as many villages still face unresolved boundary issues. He will also cover territorial disputes, boundary adjustments, codification, and related matters,” Sugiarto noted here on Monday.

He explained that the regional heads' retreat offers more up-to-date insights than the first batch, particularly in response to recent developments in regional administrative issues.

“They can gain perspectives from the latest developments that are relevant to their role as regional heads,” he stated.

Nevertheless, Sugiarto stressed that the core content of the retreat remains the same as in the first batch.

“Hence, in terms of substance, the material is 100 percent the same as the first retreat,” he noted.

The three main topics covered in the retreat are: the primary duties of regional heads, an explanation of the president's grand vision through the Astacita program, and anti-corruption and national insight strengthening.

The topics would be delivered by the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas). Sugiarto remarked that the regional heads' retreat also aims to improve participants' understanding of governance duties and align them with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision.

“This way, regional heads can also understand the grand ideas of the president and implement and accelerate the Astacita program,” he remarked.
