Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA) - Minister of Investment and head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has urged young Indonesians to collaborate with the government to realize the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision."The young human resources are important, and the government is always present to facilitate their preparation toward the Golden Indonesia 2045 (goal)," Lahadalia said after the "Golden Indonesia Roadshow" here on Monday.
He informed that the government is currently carrying out two strategies to realize Golden Indonesia, namely preparing investment programs to increase the number of jobs and strengthen human resources. He said that these two strategies are essential to keep Indonesia from losing the demographic bonus potential.
"We must not be trapped to be only a developing country, or later Indonesia will lose momentum," he cautioned.
Lahadalia added that the Investment Ministry has implemented a blending scheme or a merging of labor-intensive and capital-intensive programs to add value to investment in the country.
"If it is only labor intensive, then investment remains like this and does not produce high-value products, and high technology is only capital-intensive, thus there will be fewer jobs," he explained.
He said that his side will announce the value of the scheme, which is expected to have reached Rp1,400 trillion in 2023.
"Our target for 2024 is Rp1,600 trillion to Rp1,650 trillion," he informed.
Meanwhile, chairperson of the Surabaya City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Ali Affandi La Nyalla M. Mattalitti, described the Golden Indonesia Roadshow as a way to increase the youth's enthusiasm in building the nation.
