Jakarta (ANTARA) - Member of the Special Committee for Post-IKN of the Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), Dwi Rio Sambodo, stated that his side was focused on designing the arrangement of Jakarta into an agglomeration area.
"For example, the first is about regional agglomeration areas, (with regard to) how this can create synergies that complement each other and fulfill aspects of local wisdom," Sambodo told reporters in Jakarta, Monday.
Sambodo remains resolute in finalizing several recommendations to meet regional development needs in Jakarta. With Jakarta's new status, he expressed hope that the management of national property should collaborate with regional governments, so that housing, transportation, and green open space problems can be resolved.
Moreover, regarding land, implementation of the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) Law does not result in domination by citizens, in general, so there is no loss of ownership of the previously existing land.
"In fact, how can we strengthen existing land rights and prevent land ownership hegemony in the future," he remarked.
The Special Committee for Post-IKN of DPRD Jakarta urged the central government to harmonize the Bill (RUU) for the Province of the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ).
All regulations contained in the DKJ Provincial Bill are expected to have a positive impact on society, including on the planning of the Jakarta area after it loses the status of capital city.
The issue lies in the fact that the Bill for the Province of the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) has been passed into law through the Plenary Meeting of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) on March 28, 2024.

Earlier, the Jakarta Provincial Government implemented the rules contained in the Jakarta Special Region Law (DKJ) after a presidential regulation (perpres) was made.
"After the DKJ Law was passed, that is something to be grateful for. Yes, a derivative of the DKJ Law (will be created after) presidential regulations (being made)," Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono stated.
