Jakarta's bed occupancy rate reaches 14 prosen

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Currently, the bed occupancy rate (BOR) at COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta has reached 14 percent, Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria has informed.

"If we look at the data, the BOR has increased to be at 14 percent, in which out of 3,732 beds readied, 504 have been occupied," he said at Jakarta City Hall here on Friday.

Meanwhile, the occupancy rate of beds in intensive care units (ICUs) at COVID-19 referral hospitals has also increased to around 11 percent, with 69 of the 621 available beds occupied.

Based on data from the Jakarta Health Office, as of Friday, the number of active cases, or people who are still being treated or undergoing isolation, stood at 9,545, and 1,100 of them were new cases.

Since the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in March 2020, a total of 1,245,980 Jakarta residents have been declared recovered, with the recovery rate pegged at 98 percent, and 15,316 residents have succumbed to the virus, with the mortality rate recorded at 1.2 percent.
