Jakarta (ANTARA) - Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti ensured that school revitalization and learning digitalization remain his ministry's priority programs in 2026 despite budget limitations. He emphasized that school revitalization is part of the government's efforts to provide better learning infrastructure and facilities.
"The budget for 2026 is not as large as in 2025, which will lead to a reduction in the number of targeted schools," he said in a coordination meeting on school revitalization and learning digitalization in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday.
To this end, he asked all regional heads to truly prioritize schools that are in the most unsuitable physical condition to be selected as revitalization program beneficiaries.
He also requested regional heads to monitor all proposed data and the condition of the schools to be revitalized carefully and honestly.
"It must be prioritized for schools that genuinely require assistance because their conditions are highly unsuitable to support quality learning activities," he stated.
Mu'ti affirmed that his ministry would continue to ensure that the funds it receives are used in an accountable, efficient, and transparent manner.
