Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has coordinated with the North Maluku government to address the impact of a deadly flash flood that killed 13 people in a village in Ternate on Sunday.
Abdul Muhari, Head of BNPB’s Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center, stated that the agency will distribute tents, lamps, blankets, mattresses, and basic necessities to the village residents.
The BNPB team is currently working to identify the 13 victims before handing over their bodies to their respective families. Two injured victims have already received medical treatment.

Muhari said the number of victims could still increase as search efforts continue.
At least 10 houses were severely damaged by the flash flood, which carried mud, sand, and rocks from Mount Gamalama at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.
