Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized their commitment to addressing the climate and nature crises during a meeting in London on Thursday.
In a joint statement released after the meeting, the leaders underscored their dedication to keeping the 1.5 degrees Celsius temperature goal within reach, including through the submission of ambitious Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) by February 2025.

The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating funding disbursement through the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) to support Indonesia’s net-zero target.

"Indonesia welcomes the UK's support for its green transition. We look forward to deepening our cooperation on sustainable infrastructure, building on our shared record of leveraging green infrastructure to drive sustainable growth," the joint statement read.

Additionally, they agreed to establish a high-level policy dialogue on carbon pricing design and implementation, aimed at supporting the development of Indonesia’s carbon finance market and driving its green transition.
