Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah Fauzi stated that the Red and White Joint Room would serve as a place to instill Pancasila values and noble character in children.
"In this shared space, we will provide tools for playing traditional games based on local wisdom. Traditional games have a very high philosophy," Fauzi remarked at the "CEO Insight Women's Leader Discussion" here on Tuesday.
According to the minister, Indonesian children can learn about Pancasila character and noble values through traditional games. Fauzi believes that by playing traditional games, children can gain insights into the values of sportsmanship and cooperation.

"Traditional games are a means to instill character in children, as no one is alone. They are in groups, must work together, cooperate, be patient, and must not cheat. The most important aspect is that the values of Pancasila exist in these games," Fauzi stated.
Building children's character from an early age is increasingly important so they can appreciate diversity and unite for the greater good. Fauzi explained that the creation of the Red and White Joint Room directly stemmed from the collaborative spirit generated during the cabinet retreat held on October 24-27 in Magelang, Central Java.

"In the making of the Red and White Joint Room, we were motivated by the retreat in Magelang. The ministries and government agencies must work together, collaborate, and synergize to walk together," she remarked.
Fauzi affirmed that the Red and White Joint Room is one of the three priorities of the PPPA Ministry in the next five years. Meanwhile, the two other priorities are expanding the SAPA 129 call center service and the single data for gender and child based on villages.
